The Fight For Equalness

When we went to the city museum yesterday, we saw a section about people who were trying to fight for the chance to be equal a long time ago. We saw two bathroom doors (on display). One said "White Men's Bathroom" and the other said "Colored Men's Bathroom". Some white people didn't care about them, so back then they treated them with harm - not like now. I think that's crazy. But Martin Luther King Jr. did the bus boycott and won! He said that we don't have to fight with our fists, but with our mouths. So, now we can sit at lunch counters together, go to school and church together and have a president like Barack Obama. People back then would not even believe it. It doesn't matter if you are white or black to me, we're all just people.
