Today is Independence Day - the day that George Washington and some other important men signed "The Declaration of Independence." They signed it to say that the United States of America would not be part of Great Britain. The USA is 233 years old, today.I'm proud to be an American, because we can all live free. A lot of soldiers fought in that war and other wars and a bunch of them died to protect our freedom. Happy Birthday United States of America!
